Bellarine Commercial Painters transform heritage listed shop

July 15, 2019

Our team of Bellarine Commercial Painters have had a great time recently assisting with the transformation of this historical butcher shop known for many years as “Queenscliff Meats”.

Located at 82 Hesse Street, the newly opened “Bellarine Country Butchers” are on the main strip of the beautiful seaside town of Queenscliff and is a family run business local to the area.

With its remarkable history dating back to the late 1800’s, it’s no surprise that this culturally rich town on the Bellarine Peninsula enforce strict guidelines to adhere to for their heritage listed buildings to keep that stunning 19th century charm about it.

Our Bellarine Commercial Painters wouldn’t have it any other way! How incredible are the original porcelain tiles we uncovered using “Peel Away 8” under the old paint work on the façade of the building?!  Peel Away 8 allows us to strip the 100+year old paint away, leaving no chemical residue behind.

Firstly Shayne assisted the new owners Andrew and Nicole Beeston with the colour consultancy and produced a colour scheme that worked in with the current streetscape and conformed with National Trust requirements in relation to the original colours of the building. We also worked with Nicole and Andrew on scheduling trades to ensure the job ran smoothly so that everything was completed in order for them to open without any delay.

We used a combination of both Dulux and Haymes paints and preparation products, using predominantly Haymes to complete the interior and Dulux Weathershield for the exterior.
